AL COLOGNE

is a London based artist whose songs balance vulnerability with an understated confidence. Their debut sinlge milk teeth arriving September 2025 via Joy of Life International introduces a diaristic, kitchen-sink songwriting voice that feels both intimate, emotionally attuned and unflinching. These are songs about identity, control, and transformation; about trying to inhabit your own body, and then trying again the day following.

“I think a lot of the songs come from emotional states I don’t fully understand until after I’ve written them. They’re closer to processing, trying to track where I’ve been, and what I’m carrying.” That tendency toward self-examination is a thread that runs through Cologne’s songs, which evolved from years of half-formed voice notes and personal writing. “I started to see it as a way to connect, with myself and with other people.”

Cologne’s music is rooted in tone and feeling. Their work is conversational and deeply observant, weaving personal history into something spacious and universal. “I want it to feel real. If something’s messy, I let it be messy.” The arrangements are fluid and unfussy, with space left open for the lyrics to land. In that sense, Cologne’s music finds common ground with artists like Angel Olsen, Sharon Van Etten, Clairo, Big Thief, and Faye Webster, though they move in their own lane entirely.

Cologne’s sets are loose, dynamic, and attuned to mood, sometimes sparse, sometimes expansive but always honest. “What I want from playing live is for it to feel like a real exchange,” they say. “It just needs to feel authentic and alive.”

Their debut single milk teeth is released September 23, 2025.
